Job Description

Portrait is on a mission to recruit 1,000 senior healthcare professionals. The mandate of the Head of Sales is to further our mission of empowering healthcare providers to launch their own practices starting with aesthetic dermatology. The Head of Sales will oversee the activities and productivity of a designated multi-state expansion strategy to accomplish this. This successful hire will have a proven track record of consistently hitting or ideally exceeding targets while building and motivating their team. We’re seeking a Recruiting or Sales leader who can set the strategy for their team, drive the future pipeline as well as develop their people’s sales skill set.

During your first 60 days:

  • Begin developing a state-by-state regional expansion plan for recruiting top healthcare providers to Portrait Health
  • Onboard with the Portrait team and engage in internal learning
  • Quickly develop an understanding of our product and service offerings
  • Partner with existing sales managers to come up to speed quickly on respective market dynamics, targets and opportunities
  • Spend time with your sales executives in the region to understand their market plans, evaluate current capabilities and developmental needs

Oversee and drive healthcare provider recruitment activities and the success of territory sales managers
Forge working relationships with regional stakeholder networks including medical drug sales representatives
Focus on process improvements that continue to improve our sales cycle and framework
Maintain CRM hygiene and diligence in tracking/ recording all work activities to ensure accurate forecasting
Represent Portrait Health culture and passion for empowering healthcare providers to launch their own medical practices
Partner with internal account managers and leadership to ensure smooth on-boarding of healthcare providers as well as transition of the relationship to account management

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of direct people management experience
  • Preference for someone with knowledge of the medical industry
  • Strong relationship building ability; you like building and finding win-win agreements
  • Proven ability to leverage market experts to forge relationships with target customers and consultants
  • Strong track record of consistently meeting /exceeding large yearly quotas
  • Consultative approach to sales (understanding pain points of customers and addressing their needs through solutions selling)
  • Successful track record of hiring and managing highly productive sales executives
  • Solid understanding of customers and revenue generation
  • Travel as needed once safe
